Experience & Background:
Jan grew up in Quincy, FL and graduated from Auburn University where she received a BS in Marketing Education. She worked as a purchasing agent until marrying Glenn and moving to different locations with him for his job with Fluor. They have 2 children at Clemson and on ongoing sports rivalry between Glenn’s alma mater, the University of Florida, Jan’s beloved Auburn, and now Clemson. They moved to Greenville in 2000 and Jan began her real estate career with Ryan Homes, where she was named Rookie of the Year and was a top producer. She owned Fast Track Fitness, Inc. for a number of years and then had the wonderful opportunity to join Chet and Beth’s team as a Buyer Specialist in 2008.

Strengths & Motivations:
It is Jan’s personal delight and honor to be chosen as a team member of The Chet and Beth Smith Group, where nothing short of excellence is acceptable. As a veteran mover- 14 local, long distance, and international moves courtesy of Glenn’s company, there is no one making a move with whom she can't relate. She’s seen “the good, the bad, and the ugly”.... and still loved the experience of every place they’ve lived. As an award winning Realtor, it would be her pleasure to partner with you, find a home you love, and help make your move as great and fun an adventure as hers have been. Jan especially loves being a Buyer Specialist and getting to know and help both newcomers and locals. She believes communication, attitude, trustworthiness, and professionalism are the keys to a great Realtor- Client relationship. Jan is happy to count previous clients as now dear friends.

Personal & Community Interests:
Jan has been involved in family, church and community activities every place she’s called home. She has led bible studies and coordinated craft groups and outreach programs in many locations. She has always been a volunteer at Ashlan and Hunter’s schools, as well as being a PTO board member in Leesburg, Georgia. Jan also developed and coordinated successful fundraising events as a volunteer for Children’s Hospital Medical Center during their time in Cincinnati, Ohio, which are still continuing today. She is devoted to her family and Poo-Chin, Tebow, and also to her church, Horizon Presbyterian. She loves to laugh, read, be with friends and family, and play Bunco.
